Our Philosophy

Our highest goal is to put good people with good horses. At the Spur Ranch, we believe champion-level horses are made through a combination of excellent training and carefully selected bloodlines. They are further supported by healthy pastures and a natural herd environment. We value the Vaquero horseman and the Western horseman traditions passed down by Master Horsemen Tom and Bill Dorrance, Ray Hunt, and Buck Brannaman. This “True Horsemanship through Feel” method works with the natural life energy and physical ability of the horse in a way that establishes clear communication between horse and rider. This method has proven to produce safe and sound horse partners. We also value serving the community by producing top quality beef for family and friends. A percentage of our products are donated to the local food banks and directly to local families.
